The Beginning: While attending college, I was fortunate to begin my career as a marketing assistant at an established 85-employee medical and cosmetic components company. After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology, I continued to grow in my profession at Qosina, moving from marketing assistant to product management and strategic product development.
My Next Step: When an opportunity to help develop the initial marketing strategy for a fresh-from-the-incubator technical optics organization presented itself, I brought my energy and experience to the audio visual industry. Within two years, a founder and engineer at eele Laboratories asked me to help create the foundation to successfully launch a new company, Projector Lamp Services. I built the strategy, team, culture and structure of the marketing and sales departments while he focused on operations, manufacturing and quality assurance. Together, we grew the start-up from 5 to 18 employees and from $75,000 to $3.3 million in sales.
Direction and Drive: Now, with over fifteen years of experience B2B marketing and business development, I have created and sustained relationships in many segments of the audiovisual industry including higher education technology managers, systems integrators, manufacturers, consultants, associations, and media. The knowledge and experience gained from communicating and working with these experts allows me to speak confidently with and share information from a variety of viewpoints. I have developed an understanding of the inspired opportunities that budgets and cash flow, culture and resources, have on technology manufacturers and small businesses in general. In short, I thrive with a team that shares the creativity and entrepreneurial energy necessary to make a business succeed.
Some Insight: My passion and momentum is fueled by my respect for the people in this industry, the need to keep learning and the challenges of keeping up with the fast changing world of technology. I am also insanely passionate about my son, my soul-mutt, my family, my cooking and (however unfortunately) the NY Mets.
